How this panjika is made

  • It is calculated with the old Surya Siddhanta rules that traditional Bengali almanacs still use: sidereal positions, months of 29 to 32 days set by the sankranti, and tithis measured from the almanac sunrise.
  • Official dates in Bangladesh follow the Bangla Academy calendar, which has fixed month lengths. That is why the two dates differ by a day or two through the year.
  • Sunrise, sunset and every time window are shown in Bangladesh time.
  • This page has no rashifal or forecasts, only the calculated calendar facts.
